An old church turned reception hall is not exactly the type of venue that most companies look at when planning their corporate events. But while Mercury Hall may initially look like just another one of those Austin venues for weddings, its unique hall and lush gardens are also the perfect place for professional events that won't soon be forgotten by your guests.

Originally built in 1904 by the inhabitants of the frontier town of Mercury, Texas for use as a church, it was eventually replaced by a more modern building for the Mercury congregation as the building neared its 100th birthday. In 1997, the building that is now Mercury Hall was given new life when it was moved to a secluded hilltop just minutes from downtown Austin.  At its new location, the outside of the hall is now surrounded by old, oak trees, bamboo, a rock garden, limestone pathways and a large grassy area. On the inside, you will find the original wood floors, stained glass windows, chandeliers, and white shiplap walls that are sure to leave a lasting impression.

The hall has 2,237 square feet of space that is equipped to handle any and all events, from small intimate gatherings to up to 175 people. The space is extremely flexible in its use, and the seating can be tailored for what best meets your needs and number of attendees for your event:

  • Theatre Style will fit up to 175 guests
  • U-Shape Conversations will fit up to 50 guests
  • Banquet Seating will fit up to 120–150 guests
  • Classroom Style will fit up to 75 guests

Unlike other Austin event venues, when you have your event at   Mercury Hall, you will have access to the entire grounds as part of your package, including all three gardens and the catering kitchen.

  • 75 parking spaces (with an option to bring your own valet)
  • Google Fiber with speeds up to 1 GB and dual-band AC Wifi for up to 300 mbs for all attendees

While the charm of Mercury Hall comes from its 1900's origins, it is very much in the 21st century when it comes to technology.  We have multiple pieces of audio-visual equipment available to be rented for your event, making it easier for you not to have to transport your own.

Food and Drink

We have a broad selection of caterers we work with often that can provide food for your event, from something light to a full meal.  We trust what they do, how they take care of our clients and our space. We also have a snack package you can add on that will provide your guests with coffee, bottled water, sodas, fruit, health bars, nuts, etc. during your event
